Survivor

For this overcast Monday, I present to you a gargoyle. This is the only thing I own that broke during the 1989 Loma Prieta earthquake. It was shaken from its perch and decapitated in the fall. Note the sloppy glue job and missing chips of gargoyle skin.


I suppose this serves as a reminder that more earthquakes lurk around the corner. At least our earthquakes are natural, not like the ones in Oklahoma.
